I love this system...it's so easy to make your own mixes/smoothies and have a bottle to tote around afterwards. At first use, I had thought the seal and lid were poorly made, as liquid leaked everywhere.
Then I realized that the silicone gasket in the lid just has to be properly seated and centered, and then it doesn't leak from the sides. Also, the lid needs to be pushed down quite firmly until a "snap" is heard in order for the lid seal to work.
Otherwise, the material is quite durable, it's dishwasher safe, and Oster makes probably the most stylish personal blending system out there right now. If you have the My Blend blender, get an extra bottle - the green is nice and bright. It's worth it!
I already had the blender part, but the blender only comes with 1 sport bottle. With 3 kids that all want their own flavor smoothie, I decided to purchase several more of the bottles. They work great, but with all of the different colors of blenders/bottles out there that are sold together, why do the replacements only come in green? I was hoping to get each kid a different color. Other than the lack of color choice, the item is exactly what I expected.
